{"id":244,"date":"2013-11-06T13:59:39","date_gmt":"2013-11-06T18:59:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/?p=244"},"modified":"2013-11-06T13:59:39","modified_gmt":"2013-11-06T18:59:39","slug":"my-1950-studebaker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/?p=244","title":{"rendered":"My 1950 Studebaker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I recently bought a 1950 Studebaker \u00bd ton pickup from a dealer in Miami.\u00a0 I had air conditioning installed when I got it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Stude-front-quarter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-245\" alt=\"Stude-front-quarter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Stude-front-quarter-512x342.jpg\" width=\"512\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Stude-front-quarter-512x342.jpg 512w, https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Stude-front-quarter-448x300.jpg 448w, https:\/\/www.bobsown.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Stude-front-quarter.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I started watching Velocity, Discovery and History channels last fall during the elections because they didn&#8217;t have any political ads.\u00a0 One of the programs featured the Miami dealer.<\/p>\n<p>I would suggest that you bring along a <em>competent <\/em>mechanic when you buy from him.\u00a0 He certainly doesn&#8217;t have any.<\/p>\n<p>The truck made it to within 3 miles of my home and was towed the rest of the way.\u00a0 The plugs were fouled due to a defective rotor in the distributor.<\/p>\n<p>So far I&#8217;ve replaced the rotor, plugs and condenser.\u00a0 The new points didn&#8217;t work, so I polished the old ones and put them back.
